Cadastral community St. Georgen, Provincial Law Gazette No 40/1987

The Nature Protection Area Fronwiesen and Kuhlacke consits of extensive open meadows and small patches of fallow land interspersed with small islands of bushes and trees.

In the Wulkatal with its intensive agricultural utilization, the about 18 ha large Nature Protection Area is one of the largest undivided areas covered with meadows. It is an important refugium for animal and plant species that were once very common and characteristic of that area. The hay meadows dominated by False Oat-Grass (Arrhenaterum elatior) are interspersed with individual Crack Willows (Salix fragilis), more rarely with Dog Roses (Rosa canina), which essentially contribute to the charming nature of this landscape.
